It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Teddy earlier this year.
Our ensemble was originally part of the Huntingdonshire Music School and the idea of a classical guitar ensemble was conceived there, by Teddy in the mid- 1980’s.
Several of our members played for many years in the original ensemble, two of us from the very beginning. Some also remember Teddy as a guitar tutor and others as a colleague with the Cambridge Guitar Orchestra and the Peterborough Guitar Society.
Although we are now an independent ensemble, which has evolved into a known performing group, we will always be grateful to Teddy for her original insight and the constructive way she promoted the classical guitar in ensemble.
We still play some of the music Teddy loved and will always think of her with great respect when we perform her favourite pieces.
